Impactful climate action requires system change at an unprecedented speed and scale

System change transcends gradual modifications; it necessitates the involvement of all stakeholders in the climate action ecosystem.

For Greenhouse, climate action comprises five interconnected elements:

Understand
Understand greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.
Inspire
Inspire changes in behaviour.
Reduce
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Remove
Remove existing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
Adapt
Adapt to a changing climate.

Greenhouse drives climate action through a series of interconnected initiatives.

Launching physical hubs, including Australia's largest dedicated climate tech space.

An epicentre of climate tech, the Greenhouse Climate Tech Hub in Sydney is 3,800 sq m of co-working space in Sydney’s Salesforce Tower - right in the heart of Australia’s busiest central business district.

Relaunching the world's first climate action innovation platform, Greenhouse Challenge.

Greenhouse Challenge was originally launched in 1995 and was relaunched in 2022. It is an open innovation platform that supports mitigation and adaptation through the identification and adoption of climate tech solutions by corporates.

Connecting and collaborating with a community of global climate pioneers.

Greenhouse Programs and Platforms connect Industry, climate tech, government, academia, accelerators, associations, investors, and passionate individuals - all collaborating globally.

Building a diverse and thriving ecosystem

People are at the heart of every community, and the diverse actors in our ecosystem create more value than the sum of their parts.

Through consultation we identified eight distinct groups that together create the climate action ecosystem, we then further broke these down further to a cascading view to show that everybody has a role to play.
