Climate Tech Solution Examples
Climate tech solutions exist across all sectors and in various stages of maturity. According to Climateworks Australia, solutions must progress through stages from early development to commercialization. After a solution has demonstrated its effectiveness and reached commercial maturity, the focus shifts to accelerating its deployment.
HolonIQ Global Climate Tech Landscape
HolonIQ has created an open-source taxonomy for climate innovation, offering a common structure and language to identify, track, and understand the global landscape of climate tech. They have identified 50 unique elements of climate tech and grouped them into a taxonomy, organised into three categories and nine sectors.
The taxonomy is available under a Creative Commons license and as an open-source project, providing a valuable resource for anyone seeking collaborators, identifying areas of focus, or locating peers in the climate tech ecosystem.
