Activating Australia's green iron potential

As part of the Boundless Green Iron Epic, we engaged with stakeholders across the country and designed a series of summits to activate green iron precincts across the country.

A series of summits in Whyalla, Pilbara, and Gladstone as part of Boundless's Green Iron Epic.
About this initiative

Australia has massive green iron potential

Australia's vast iron ore reserves, large iron industry, and abundant access to renewable energy sources positions the country as a unique powerhouse for green iron development. We began working with Boundless because we believe:

Australia could produce 20% of global green iron by 2050...

Which would reduce global emissions by 1.7%, but...

There are significant issues we need support with to make that happen.

Stakeholder Engagement

We started by mapping out stakeholders in the industry that help to bring each region to life. We then engaged with these stakeholders to understand their perspective on the critical issues.

02

Summit Design

Using this information, we worked with collaborators like Mandala Partners and WWF to design summits for Whyalla, Pilbara, and Gladstone that could bring these people together.

03

Summit Delivery

These summits will bring together the key people working on this issue from renewables experts to iron industry stalwarts. Together, we'll co-design a strong future for Australia's iron industry in a climate-positive world.
